For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7).
Our actions and inactions are products of our thoughs which produces the cliche ‘think before you act’. Taking deep thoughts before carrying out actions save us a whole lot of trouble; deep thinkers rarely get into trouble.
As humans our life revolves round our thoughts hence the Bible admonishes us to think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4:8). Our thoughts are important to our everyday living, hence the need to watch over our thoughts lest any thing that defiles, immoral and wicked pollutes it.
Immorality, wickedness, harsh words and sin in general are always premeditated upon before the act is done, even though the whole thought process may take a few moments. Guard your hearts, watch over your thoughts that ye sin not through your thoughts.
Pure thoughts come from a heart that is pure and a pure heart is attainable through purging by the blood of JESUS. Accept Christ into your heart and he would make your thoughts pure and acceptable in his sight.
