It’s the time of the year filled with pomp and show, celebrations, wining and dining. The long 365 days is also coming to an end and many anticipate the new year and all of its unknown realities. In all of these, people find time to celebrate together as a family, that’s why there are instances of travels back to ones hometown, to dwell and catch up on past events with ones people.

Well well well. Family bonding goes beyond traveling to ones village or eating and drinking together as a family or visiting the exotic celebration spots all over and nothing more. It involves creating lasting memories together that you might not have been able to create over the past 300+ days because of the hustle and bustle of life. This season affords you a break to spend together with your family, and it is wise of you to utilise this period well.

At this stage, you might quiver with thoughts of no money and no time, so you feel this post is not for you. Well, let me inform you with glee that family bonding doesn’t mean you have to break the bank. All you have to do is cut your coat according to your cloak. Don’t spend beyond your budget and don’t try to keep up with the Joneses.

Now, to the real deal. How can you bond as a family this season and beyond? Bonding could happen indoor or outdoor.

As a family that wants to bond together indoor, there are plethora of things that can be done. As a family, y’all can prepare a special dish; not the regular one you’re used to together. To do this, you can check online for recipes of dishes other than that which you’re used to. Together, get the recipe and prepare it with joy. If it turns out perfect, enjoy your efforts together, and if otherwise, laugh it off together and still enjoy your efforts.

You could also create a family night out in your parlor! Get yourself some popcorn and drinks and create a cinema within the four walls of your home. You can play games together and add spice to the way you’ve been playing games in time past. Think out many more ways to bond indoor as one happy family.

Outdoor bonding might take out a little more money from your pocket, but like I said earlier, you don’t have to break the bank and you’re not keeping up with the Joneses. There are many game centers, amusement parks, tourist attraction you can visit. There are many places I bet you’ve not visited because of lack of time and this season affords you to visit. Plan as a family and go together as a family. In all thy going, make sure you are not going together as isolated individuals walking in a group. This will defeat the aim of bonding. Limit the time you spend on phone while going out together. Don’t be so close, yet so far from each other.
