One of the best gifts you can give your spouse either before meeting them or even in the marriage is the gift of PRAYER. Prayer can never be too much in the life of a man, and no matter how much you give it, your spouse can never be tired, rather, they will soar on the wings of your prayers.

First, to the singles. I know the kind of prayer we will be involved in is the prayer of who is that special somebody God is preparing for you so you do not make a mistake in the choosing process. Well, this prayer is very key and vital because if the foundation is destroyed, what will the children of God do?

Why not let us take this prayer a notch higher. It’s possible you may or may not have known the person. If you’ve known the person, mentioning the person’s name in prayer, committing every aspect of their lives to God’s hand is one thing you should not joke with.

On the other hand, if you are yet to know the person, let me tell you what I do. Just say “God, that person you’re preparing for me” then insert your prayer point, c’est fini (it is finished). Let your prayers cover their health, finance, career, spirituality, sexuality, and every thing you can pray for. Trust me, God will give you abundantly above all you ask or think.

Now, to the married. Praying for your spouse is a whole lot easier because you know their peculiar needs and you can tailor your prayers to meet that need. You know their in and out, their fears and anxieties and you’re not left in the dark concerning any area of their life, and you can take all of that to their Father in prayer.

If you can spend 5 minutes each day investing in your partner’s life through prayer, I bet you that the dividends you’ll reap will beat your imaginations.
