Dear Youth,

Remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth… (Ecclesiastes 12:1).

As a youth myself, I thought it needful to write you this letter because of the prevalent vices that characterizes this present age. There are several deceptions flying around, and sadly, many youths are falling hook, line and sinker. Many youths have channeled their glory into something entirely different from God’s plan for their lives. They have forgotten that the glory of the youth is in their strength.

The youthful age is not a time for escapades and silly adventures. Channel your strength into a profitable venture. As a guy, your worth is not in the number of ladies you can ‘undertake’ and ‘conquer’, and as a lady, you don’t prove your feminine essence by the number of men you ‘control’. You are more, and you are made for more.

Someone once said, “you can’t feature in a future you do not picture.” You begin to paint on the canvass of your mind the kind of future you desire. To live your today like you have no tomorrow is to live your tomorrow with regrets of your today’s actions.

Need I tell you that you should not get carried away by the glitz and glamour in the society. Many (I didn’t say all) of the pictures painted on social media are make beliefs. Don’t be fazed by it at all. Don’t get carried away by ponzi schemes, and trash the get rich quick mentality. It doesn’t pay because money made in haste will grow wings and fly away. I know you want to ‘blow’, but there is still dignity in labour. Don’t expect to reap where you’ve not sown.

Rome wasn’t built in a day. Anything that will last takes time. Endure the process so you can enjoy the profit.

Finally, while you are still young and agile, serve God.
